The Digifest competition is open to ages 10 and up; the categories are broken up into the following: Film, Video, Animation, Music, Fine Art & Photography, Gaming demos and elements. Then inside each category, it be further broken down for judging capacity by the following: 4th-12 grade Students, Higher Education Students, Amateurs, and Professionals. If you are enrolled in any kind of training educational program studying any form or visual & performing arts or digital technology, or traditional k-12 schooling you may enter as a student. Depending on age, enter either as a grade school student or as Higher Education student. If you are an individual or a group of individuals not associated with a specific company, you can enter as an amateur or professional, if you are entering as a company you must enter as a professional.

Terms & Conditions: Digifest 2017 is an event put on by JDS Creative Academy a 501c3 charitable nonprofit with the mission of providing education, training, and a areer pathway to enhance achievement in workforce development in industries of visual and performing arts including new media technology. Each entry will be viewed and evaluated by a member of the digifest judging committee. The digifest committee will comprised of industry professionals, community members, and JDS Creative Academy Board members. Each entry will be judged on a scoring matrix established be the JDS Creative Academy Board of Directors. Scoring matrixes will not be made public. Nominees will be notified by May 1, 2017, winners will be announced at the awards banquet on May 7, 2017. Awards will consist of a variation of the following; scholarships, monetary compensations, and or plaque/trophy. Digifest judging committee in collaboration with the JDS Creative Academy Board of Directors has decision authority on which entry receives what type of award.
